Calibration and span gases for portable and fixed gas detection, filled into non-refillable aluminium cylinders.
Multi-gas mixtures
The standard confined-space mixture combines hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, a combustible component and oxygen in a nitrogen balance. VGAS supplies the classic four-gas blend along with five-component versions that add carbon dioxide or sulphur dioxide for tank, sewer and refinery work.
- H₂S 10 – 25 ppm · CO 50 – 300 ppm
- Combustible as CH₄, C₃H₈, i-C₄H₁₀ or C₅H₁₂ at 25 – 50 % LEL
- O₂ at 12, 15, 18, 19 or 20.9 % vol
- Balance nitrogen or air
Single gases
One active component in a nitrogen or air balance, used for single-sensor instruments, sensor verification and span adjustment on a specific channel.
- Reactive gases from 5 ppm — H₂S, CO, SO₂, NO, NO₂, NH₃, Cl₂, HCl
- Combustible gases at %LEL or %vol — CH₄, C₃H₈, C₄H₁₀, C₅H₁₂, C₂H₄, H₂
- Oxygen at 10 – 25 % vol in nitrogen
- CO₂ from 200 ppm to 5 % vol
Zero & purge gases
High-purity nitrogen and synthetic zero air used to set the instrument baseline before span adjustment, and to purge sensors between measurements.
- Nitrogen 99.999 % purity
- Zero air, 20.8 % vol O₂ balance nitrogen
- 36 month shelf life
- Also supplied as the balance gas for every mixture
